Research - My Brother the Devil

My Brother the Devil is a British film written and directed by Sally El Hosaini. It was released in the UK on the 9th of November 2012. It was first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on the 22nd of January 2012. It stars James Floyd (Tormented), Fady Elsayed (Twenty8k) and Said Taghmaoui (La Haine). Since it's release, My Brother the Devil has received a number of film festival rewards. The film was produced by Gayle Griffiths, Julia Godzinskaya and Michael Sackler. Rooks Nest Entertainment and Wild Horses Film Company were both the production companies involved in the making of My Brother The Devil. The movie was filmed in Hackney, London.

This film was advertised online a number of different ways. The films trailer was uploaded to YouTube and currently over 130,000 views. My Brother the Devil has it's own Facebook and Twitter pages. Since the films release it has received great reviews and currently holds a rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. The film follows the story of two brothers facing the prejudices of being young, British Arabs in the ghetto's of London. It was released in the USA, Germany, Spain, Poland, Denmark, Sweden and the UK. These were through numerous festivals and cinemas.
